The World Traveller flotation took place on July 17, 2021.
This is one of the most important milestones in the process of building a vessel, as it is when the first values of weight, trim and heel are measured. This data is all verified by the vessels draft and the vertical distance between the bottom of the keel and the waterline.
It is also the moment when the tightness of the hull and all the interconnected equipment and accessories are confronted.
The World Traveler is the fourth Polar Expedition vessel being built by West Sea and is expected to be completed in June 2022.
