On April 10, the deed of constitution of CiTin – Association Center for Industrial Technological Interface took place at the Escola Superior Agrária of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo, which was attended by the 16 founding companies, including West Sea.
CiTin is a new non-profit entity with a mission to develop applied research and technology transfer activities. Its main objective is to implement a structure responsible for promoting innovation in companies and supporting their development in Alto Minho, as an engine of innovation in the region, in a symbiotic and synergistic relationship with the other entities of the ecosystem. The creation of this project allows leveraging the competitiveness of the region and companies, as well as the institutions that integrate innovation.
In addition to West Sea, CiTin is made up of other entities, such as the Municipality of Arcos de Valdevez, the Intermunicipal Community of Alto Minho (CIM Alto Minho), the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), the Business Confederation of Alto Minho (CEVAL) and the Innovative Business Initiatives Incubator (IN.CUBO).
West Sea’s participation in this project will help to develop innovative projects and solutions applied to the naval industry, knowledge sharing and connection with entities of the scientific-technological system in Alto Minho.
